Founder of 201Studio: Noriko Taniguchi

Noriko Taniguchi is a talented photographer based in Japan, primarily working in the field of advertising photography. Her portfolio is diverse and includes captivating “sizzle” photos for major food manufacturers, rare and mythical ingredients like “salmon roe” from Hokkaido, and photographs of dishes from locally famous restaurants.

At the age of 28, she chose the path of a photographer and spent fulfilling years as an assistant under a remarkable mentor. After going independent, she engaged in photographing for news, magazines, and stage performances. Fascinated by the joy of creating with others, she decided to venture into the world of advertising photography.

In 2009, she established her own studio, “201Studio,” and has since continued to thrive in the advertising field. Recently, she has also been involved in photographing for commercial facility promotions and local government public relations magazines.

One of Taniguchi’s special skills is her ability to take appetizing photos of food not only with a DSLR camera but also with a smartphone. At events, she allows participants to handle cameras and poses quizzes to guess which camera took a particular photo, introducing the world of photography in a fun and approachable way.

Her work and activities deeply convey the power and beauty of photography, as well as the profound connections with people.
